Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has promised people that if the BJP comes to power the third time, land issues faced by leaseholders living on panchayat lands would be resolved in the first meeting of the government. “We will transfer the panchayat lands to leaseholders if voted to power for the third term,” said Saini, while addressing a gathering at Siwan in the Guhla Assembly segment. The public meeting was organised in support of party candidate Kulwant Bazigar. The CM also promised that the houses built on the panchayat land would be transferred to their rightful owners.

Plan to boost solar energy

  • The CM said the party had plans to install solar panels on one lakh houses in the first phase after assuming power, which would reduce electricity bills to zero
  • Saini shared the government’s decision to provide ~2,000 per acre as financial assistance
  • The CM assured that Agniveers returning from service would be given priority in government jobs in Haryana
  • Additionally, he announced interest-free loans of up to ~5 lakh for those who want to start their own business

Saini attacked the Congress alleging that it couldn’t fulfil promises in states like Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana. “The Congress promised Rs 1,500 monthly to women and 300 units of free electricity in Himachal, but neither of these promises has been fulfilled,” he said, highlighting the contrast between Congress’ pledges and the BJP’s action-driven governance.

Saini exhorted the people of Guhla to vote for the BJP candidate on October 5 and assured them of a similar wave of development. “Give us your support on October 5 and leave the rest to me. Guhla will see unprecedented growth,” he said.

Highlighting the achievements of his party, Saini said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, he was given the opportunity to serve the people from March 12, and in just 56 days, they had made 126 impactful decisions, which were more than even the works done by the previous Congress government in 10 years.

“During my five-year tenure as Member of Parliament, not a single issue was left unresolved. We are committed to resolving all issues related to leaseholders soon,” he added.

The CM also highlighted women-centric initiatives undertaken, including the gas cylinder scheme, under which, he said, 50 lakh families were being provided gas cylinders for just Rs 500. “On Teej, I took a pledge, and by August 1, the scheme was implemented, directly benefiting women across the state,” he said.

He stressed on solar energy initiatives and said plans to install solar panels on one lakh houses in the first phase, saying it would reduce electricity bills to zero. The government will cover a significant portion of the expenses under this plan, he said.

Reaffirming his commitment to the farmers, Saini shared the government’s decision to provide Rs 2,000 per acre as financial assistance. The CM assured that Agniveers returning from service would be given priority in government jobs in Haryana. Additionally, he announced interest-free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh for those wanting to start their own business.

Saini announced an increase in the benefits provided under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, raising the medical coverage for cardholders from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. He also declared that free dialysis and diagnostic services would be available in government hospitals across the state.
