What our readers say: Paddy not being lifted on time
Paddy is arriving in grain markets across the state but is not being purchased properly and the lifting, too, is tardy. Sheds of the grain markets, empty spaces in front of shops and roads are filled with paddy bags due to which movement of farmers and the public in the markets has become difficult. There are long queues of tractor-trailers on the road outside the grain market. Farmers and commission agents are facing a lot of problems. The state government must make arrangements so that paddy is purchased as soon as it reaches the grain market.

‘Speed thrills but kills’
in a world where speed is often equated with freedom and excitement, the thrill of racing down an open road can be intoxicating. However, the adrenaline rush associated with high-speed driving can quickly turn fatal. The phrase “speed thrills but kills” encapsulates the paradox of speed: while it may provide a temporary thrill, the consequences can be catastrophic. Ryan Khurana, Kaithal
