Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma today said the Congress had spread lies in all states to defeat the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections by stating that the Constitution would change under the saffron party. However, he said, the people of the country had rejected the Congress and Narendra Modi had once again become the Prime Minister.

Biswa was addressing a public rally in Sonepat in support of BJP candidate Mayor Nikhil Madaan.

Taking a dig at Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Deepender Hooda, without taking their names, Biswa said just as the shop of mother and son had been closed in the Lok Sabha polls in Delhi, the shop of father and son would be closed in Haryana in the Assembly elections.

Biswa said Rahul talked about the protection of the Constitution but when he went to the USA, he spoke about ending reservation. “This reservation has been given by Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar and it will never end,” he asserted.

He also attacked Congress leaders for their statements on the Agniveer scheme.

Biswa alleged Rahul Gandhi wanted to divide the country by saying in Kashmir that Article 370 would be brought back but we Indians would never allow that.

“The Congress has nurtured many Baburs in every corner of the country. Just as the Babur rule was ended in Ayodhya, we will work to expel every Babur from the country,” he said.

Biswa said, “Former CM Hooda has promised to give Rs 2,000 to women. The Congress had also promised to give Rs 1,500 to women in Himachal Pradesh but not even a single penny has been given so far. However, what the BJP promises, it fulfills.”

Biswa said the BJP was working with the guarantee to work and CM Nayab Singh Saini had done great work in a short span of time.
