A visitor at the Rohtak zoo alleged a breach today, claiming that a door of the enclosure of a lioness got opened accidentally, posing a threat to his life.

The visitor, who identifies himself as D.Sangwan, has also posted a video recounting his experience in this regard on social media. "I had come to the Rohtak zoo today and was taking a selfie while standing near the enclosure of the lioness. Meanwhile, some children did some mischief. In retaliation, the lioness hit the door with her paw, making it fall apart. The lioness did not come out as her cubs were inside the enclosure, but if she had, it would have put the lives of all visitors in danger," said Sangwan in the video.

Divisional Forest Officer Sunder Sambharya said it was highly improbable that such an incident had taken place in view of the

three-layered entrance, but he would get the matter examined. "Information has been sought from the officer in-charge of the zoo to get to the bottom of the matter," he stated.
