Vibrant finale of 3-day youth fest in Yamunanagar
The three-day 47th Zonal Youth Festival at Guru Nanak Girls College, Yamunanagar, concluded today. Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora was the chief guest of the programme.
The event was also joined by guests of honours, including jury members Dr Anupama Arya, Principal of Arya Girls College, Ambala; Dr Subhash Tanvar, Principal of DAV College, Pundri; and Dr Suman, Associate Professor, Arya PG College, Ambala.
Also present were Observer Dr Rishi Pal, Principal of Babu Anant Ram Janta College; and DYCA Nominee Dr Abeed Ali, a motivational speaker and media academician from Kurukshetra University.
The principals of various institutions from across the Yamunanagar district also attended the event, adding to the festive atmosphere. During the ceremony, Director Dr Varinder Gandhi and Principal Dr Harvinder Kaur honoured the chief guest with a siropa and a shawl.
Ghanshyam Dass Arora presented awards to the winners, acknowledging their outstanding performances in various competitions. In his address, he commended the young participants for their talent and enthusiasm and expressed his appreciation for the dedication of their teachers in guiding them to this prestigious platform.
A series of captivating performances kept the audience engaged throughout the concluding day. The day featured dynamic performances in Haryanvi orchestra and group dance (Haryanvi), western instrumental solo, western vocal solo, and group song (Western), on-the-spot photography and installation, and elocution competition.
Principal Dr Harvinder Kaur said under the leadership of General Secretary of the college management committee MS Sawhney and Director Dr Varinder Gandhi, along with the dedicated support of the college management, the 47th Zonal Youth Festival was a resounding success. The event was efficiently coordinated by the organising committee, led by Prof Seema Sharma.
Committee members — Dr Rumnit Kaur, Babila Chauhan and Dr Ambika Kashyap — played a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of the festival.
