The court of Additional Sessions Judge Tarun Singal has sentenced two persons to 7 years jail and imposed fines for carrying out a deadly attack by firing on a police team.

According to the police, on April 16, 2022, the police team of the Sector 29 police station was present at Galleria Market for checking suspicious vehicles. Meanwhile, two suspicious persons were seen coming on a bike. When signalled to stop, they started running away. Meanwhile, the bike fell, one person was caught and the other person started running away. The person in the hold of the police asked his companion to fire at the policemen. The person who was trying to flee complied and fired at the police team. The bullet hit constable Gauri Shankar in his leg. After this, both the accused ran away . An FIR was registered and the accused were arrested. One accused, identified as Ismail alias Kala (28), resident of Ghasera village in Nuh district, was arrested on June 24 and the other, identified as Junaid (26), resident of Silokha village in Nuh district, was arrested on July 1.
