Two doctors found absent at health centre
Two doctors were found absent during a surprise inspection by the Civil Surgeon (CMO) at the Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Rasoolpur village in the district on Monday.
Besides issuing a show-cause notice, the Health Department authorities ordered the holding of the salary of the doctors for a day for negligence.
The Civil Surgeon, Dr Jai Bhagwan Jatain, said a majority of the staff appointed at the PHC, Rasoolpur, was found present. He said a show-cause notice had been served to the two medical officers at the centre for being absent during the inspection today. He said their salary had been put on hold for today due to the irregularities connected with their duty. He said all doctors and staff working in the Civil Hospital, Community Health Centres (CHCS) and the PHCs had been warned of disciplinary action if found violating the directions regarding biometric attendance and remaining absent from duty.
