Tributes paid to former Deputy CM Mangal Sein
Tributes were paid to former Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana Dr Mangal Sein his death anniversary on Sunday at a programme organised at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU).
Floral tributes were paid on the portrait of Dr Mangal Sein and a memorial yajna was conducted. Arya Samaji, Sarravdeshik Arya Pratinidhi Sabha Pradhan Swami Aryavesh was the keynote speaker at the programme.
He said Dr Mangal Sein’s view-point and vision was oriented towards people’s welfare. He said the former Deputy Chief minister contributed a lot to the society and to the state.
MDU Vice-Chancellor Prof Rajbir Singh in his presidential address said Dr Mangal Sein was a symbol of purity in politics. He underlined the significant role of Dr Mangal Sein in promoting higher education in the state.
Academician Dr Sita Ram Vyas, speaking as the guest of honour in the function, shared reminiscences of Dr Mangal Sein, and threw light on his contribution.
MDU Registrar Prof Gulshan Lal Taneja gave vote of thanks while Prof Surendra Kumar, Director, Dr Mangal Sen Chair, conducted the hawan and the memorial programme.
Senior university functionaries, head of various departments, faculty members, university officials and students were present on the occasion.
