Three booked for abducting, gang-raping minor in Palwal

A minor girl was allegedly abducted and gang-raped at a village here. The police have registered a case against three persons in this regard.

As per the complaint, the incident took place on the night of December 11 when the victim was returning home after attending a friend’s wedding function in the village.

The suspects identified as Irfan, Tameel and Wasim, all local residents, allegedly abducted the girl. They took her to an abandoned room of a brick-kiln and sexually assaulted her. The victim returned home around 4 am and informed her family members about the incident. Following which, her family members lodged a complaint with the police on Thursday.

The suspects fled the spot after committing the crime. A manhunt had been launched to nab the suspects. A case had been registered in this regard, said a police official.
