Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and firebrand leader Yogi Adityanath addressed a poll meeting in Bhojawas village of the Ateli constituency to garner the support of Rajput community.

He called upon the voters to take forward a rich legacy of a well-known family of south Haryana by making the BJP candidate Aarti Singh Rao win from here with a comfortable margin.

“Aarti’s father Rao Inderjit Singh as Union Minister is working to take Haryana forward. He has got many development works which ushered in a new era of development in south Haryana. Gurgaon has developed as one of the best industrial areas of North India. Lakhs of people are getting jobs and other employment here. To take the process of development forward, vote for the lotus symbol in Ateli to make Arti win,” said Yogi.

The senior BJP leader said the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill would be passed in the Lok Sabha in 2029 so people of Ateli had the opportunity to execute this Bill in 2024 by sending Arti to the Haryana Vidhan Sabha. “When Aarti reaches the Assembly, Nari Shakti will get respect,” he added.

Yogi said the formation of the BJP government in the state for the third time was the guarantee of safety, good governance and development, hence everyone should vote for the BJP for the betterment of the state.

“I have an old relation with Yogi Adityanath hence he came to Ateli to canvas for Arti,” said Rao while speaking on the occasion. He also exhorted the people of Ateli to support and vote for her daughter to ensure his victory in the assembly polls.

Ateli is an Ahir-dominated constituency but the number of voters belonging to the Rajput community is also considerable. Keeping in view the number, the BSP-INLD has again fielded Thakur Attar Lal, a Rajput, in the poll battle. He had sprung a surprise by securing 37387 votes in previous assembly polls held in 2019. He as BSP candidate remained second at that time.
