Students to discuss new criminal laws with cops
The Central University of Haryana (CUH) authorities have launched a special programme in collaboration with the district police under which its law students will be able to hold discussions with the police posted at various police stations in the district over the new criminal laws and to know their functioning.
Dr Pardeep Singh, Dean and head of the department of law, CUH, said the students would work with the police personnel to gain practical insights into the implementation of these laws. Training sessions, lectures and seminars would also be organised under the programme, he added.
“The innovative partnership is expected to enhance the students' understanding of the criminal justice system and provide them with hands-on experience in applying theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios,” said Prof Sunil Kumar, Registrar, CUH.
Rakesh Meena, a law faculty at the CUH, said the collaboration would foster a spirit of mutual learning, growth, and development, ultimately contributing to a more effective and efficient criminal justice system.
