Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development works worth Rs 2.78 crore in Kishanpura village of Yamunanagar district today.

He inaugurated a 1.5-km-long road built from Paonta Sahib road to Kishanpura village at a cost of Rs 95.26 lakh and an anganwadi building constructed at a cost of Rs 8 lakh.

Following this, he performed the ‘bhoomi poojan’ for a community hall to be built at a cost of Rs 1.40 crore.

He also laid the foundation stone for a paved road from Kishanpura to Kadkoli village to be built at a cost of Rs 34.88 lakh. Addressing the people present there, the Agriculture Minister said that the current government had carried out 10 times more development work than the previous government.

He said that government jobs were being given to the youth based on merit without any bribes or recommendations.

In his address, he said that development works were being done equally in the entire state.

“Unlike the previous governments, development work is not done in any particular area. The BJP government in the state is getting development works done equally with the spirit of Antyodaya,” said Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar.
