Highlighting the significance of this historic milestone, Joshi said the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution was a fitting occasion to honour and acknowledge the contributions of the founding fathers of the Constitution. The commemoration aims to reiterate the core values enshrined in the Constitution and inspire citizens to play their rightful role in strengthening democracy, he added.

The Deputy Commissioners and Vice Chancellors informed the meeting that various events like quiz competitions, debates, poster-making contests, guest lectures, film screenings, wall paintings on the Preamble, etc. had been planned to celebrate Constitution Day.
