Sr leaders of parties in top gear, to garner support for nominees
With the day of polling inching closer, star campaigners and the senior leaders of various political parties have been holding hectic campaigning to garner support for their party candidates.
Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, on Saturday, criticised the BJP over the issues of unemployment, farmers and law and order situation and appealed to the voters to support the Congress candidate to get their issues resolved. “
While addressing a public meeting in Pehowa in support of party candidate Mandeep Chatha, Bhupinder Singh Hooda said, “The BJP government has betrayed all sections of society and failed to fulfil its promises. The BJP government had promised to double the income of farmers but it increased the cost of production. It failed to provide jobs to the youngsters of Haryana due to which two lakh posts are lying vacant. The Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam is a hub of corruption. We will bring the state back on the track of development.”
Father of Sidhu Moosewala Balkaur Singh also attended and addressed the public meeting in Pehowa.
In Shahabad, Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal addressed a gathering at Thol village in support of BJP candidate Subhash Kalsana.
Naveen Jindal said, “The BJP government has worked for all sections of society. The party has fielded a teacher Subhash Kalsana from Shahabad and together we can play a vital role in improving the level of education in Shahabad, and we will fight against drug menace. I urge you to treat this election as your own and make the party win in this segment. The BJP will form the government and we will ensure the development of the village.”
Similarly, for the INLD-BSP candidate, BSP’s national coordinator Akash Anand, addressed a gathering in support of INLD candidate from Ladwa Sapna Barshami.
In his address, Akash Anand said, “Both BJP and the Congress have been trying to end reservation and divide the SC community. Both these parties have been trying to make changes in the Constitution in the name of saving it. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge in a recent statement had ignored the role of BR Ambedkar and given credit of reservation to Jawaharlal Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi. The same Congress during the Lok Sabha elections was seeking votes from the SC ST voters in the name of the Constitution. Congress, Rahul Gandhi and Bhupinder Singh Hooda are anti-Dalit and anti-reservation.”
“The BJP has no achievement to show. I call on you to ask questions regarding schools, jobs, scholarships and inflation. The government has closed a large number of schools. I request you to vote for Sapna Barshami and she will raise the issues of Ladwa strongly in the Haryana Assembly”, he added.
