Rohtak: Former minister Manish Grover said he had only cautioned the Rohtak SP to ensure action on the complaint lodged by a Dalit woman.

“Congress workers, including the son of MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra, misbehaved with the woman and used indecent language when she was distributing pamphlets. She went to a police station to lodge her complaint, but she was made to sit there till late in the night, and still no FIR was registered. Hence, a protest was held at the SP’s residence,” he said.

Grover said he had pointed out that the SP was not working under the government but the EC.“I had stated it was his duty to ensure that the FIR was registered, and if he fails to do it, it would be done after the formation of the next government,” the BJP leader said.
