Soldier killed, wife hurt in mishap in Nuh
An Army soldier was killed while his wife was seriously injured after his car overturned on the road after colliding with another vehicle on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Nuh. Their daughter, who was also in the car, narrowly escaped.
The driver of the other car applied a sudden brake, due to which the victims’ car coming from behind rammed into it and overturned. An FIR was registered at the Pinangwa police station against the car driver, who had caused the accident.
According to the police, the accident took place near Pinangwan on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway on Tuesday when the deceased, identified as Ravinder Singh, working as a Havildar in the Army met with the accident.
In his complaint, Jitender, a resident of Aurangabad in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh, said his cousin Ravinder, his wife Rajesh and daughter Deeksha was with him when the driver suddenly applied brakes, which led to the collision. The car driver managed to flee with his vehicle while Ravinder and his wife were critically injured. They were rushed to the medical college at Nalhar, where the doctors declared Ravinder dead. His wife Rajesh is being treated at a hospital in Delhi.
Following the complaint, an FIR was registered against the unidentified driver under Sections 281,125A and 106 of the BNS at the Pinangwa police station.
“We have handed over the body to kin after the post-mortem examination. We are trying to nab the accused,” said ASI Harender, the investigating officer.
