Snap water, power connections of illegal flats: DTPE
The Town and Country Planning Department has taken a tough stand regarding the 16 flats illegally constructed on 11 residential plots in Gurugram’s Palam Vihar. The flats had been built illegally by modifying permitted stilt plus four housing.
The District Town Planning and Enforcement (DTPE) has written a letter to the Municipal Corporation, Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) and the tehsildar. The MC has been requested to disconnect the water and sewer connections, while the electricity connections will be disconnected by the DHBVN.
The tehsildar was requested not to register the illegally constructed flats. The RWA of the colony has filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court against the illegally constructed flats. RWA officials have alleged that these houses were built due to the connivance of officials.
