Sirsa leaders turn up with families to cast vote
Political leaders in Sirsa exercised their voting right on Saturday, while encouraging the public to do the same for the betterment of Haryana.
Gopal Kanda, president of Haryana Lokhit Party and candidate from Sirsa, voted with his family at a polling booth in Khajanchiyon Wali Dharamshala. His wife Saraswati Kanda and children Lakh Ram, Sushila and Daya accompanied him. Kanda expressed confidence that he would win by a large margin, citing public support for his development efforts. He also mentioned that he had the backing of Dera Sacha Sauda and highlighted the shared goal of defeating the Congress with the support of the BJP.
JJP national president Ajay Singh Chautala, along with his family, voted at the local Bal Bhavan polling station. He was accompanied by his wife, MLA Naina Singh Chautala, and sons Dushyant and Digvijay Chautala.
Ajay urged citizens to exercise their constitutional right to vote. He emphasised that higher voter turnout was essential for the state’s development and expressed confidence about the JJP-ASP alliance securing victory based on their achievements over the past 4.5 years.
Congress candidate from Kalanwali, Shishpal Keharwala, also cast his vote with his family at the Mirpur Colony polling station.
Congress candidate Gokul Setia and his family voted at a booth in Ramnagaria village. Congress candidate Sarvmitra Kamboj from Rania, along with his wife, and Independent candidate Ranjit Singh Chautala also cast their votes, highlighting the need for every citizen to contribute to the democratic process.
