Lok Sabha MP Shashi Tharoor has thrown his support behind Congress candidate Mohit Grover, urging Gurugram residents to vote for a transformed millennium city. Tharoor took to social media to express his concerns about Gurugram’s current state, citing roads resembling swimming pools, rampant garbage, and potholes.

Tharoor emphasised that elections provide an opportunity for change, stating, “The only way Gurugram can change for the better is through the Congress, through Mohit Grover.”

Mohit Grover has promised revamped infrastructure for Gurugram and released a vision document. He criticised BJP for distracting people with communal chants and central projects, highlighting the city’s need for basic infrastructure.

“How concerned am I with an expressway in Nagpur when my local road is potholed and waterlogged?” Grover asked. “Millennium City contributes 70 per cent of revenue yet struggles with basic infrastructure. We must prioritise better roads and waste management, establishing a solid civic foundation – promises the Congress is committed to keeping.”
