Haryana State Commission for Women has asked the Director General of Police (DGP) and the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Fatehabad district with detailed action taken report (ATR) into the allegations of sexual harassment by women cops against an IPS officer.

The commission has written an e-mail to the Haryana DGP, the Fatehabad SP and others asking for the details of the allegations which are reportedly being probed by the Fatehabad SP, a woman IPS officer. The inquiry was initiated following a four-page complaint letter containing serious allegations of sexual exploitation of women cops that went viral on social media.

The commission has asked the officers concerned to appear before its chairperson Renu Bhatia along with the ATR and report to the inquiry committee on October 29 in Faridabad. The commission has summoned the officers under Rule 10 (1) of the Haryana State Commission for Women Act 2012.
