Seven arrested with illegal weapons in Gurugram

The Gurugram police recently arrested seven accused, including one supplier and buyer of illegal weapons. The police have recovered seven pistols and two live cartridges from his possession.

According to the police, the Farrukhnagar team of crime unit arrested an accused with an illegal weapon from the Pachgaon chowk on Sunday. The accused was identified as Anuj Singh, a resident of Bhind district in Uttar Pradesh. An FIR was registered at the Bilaspur police station.

During preliminary police investigation, the accused revealed that he bought illegal weapons from Khargone village in Madhya Pradesh for Rs 22,000 per pistol and supplies it in Gurugram for Rs 40,000 to 50,000 in Gurugram.

While investigating, the police identified six accused who had bought illegal weapons from the arms supplier and arrested them on Sunday. The arrested accused were identified as Tarun, Saurabh, Sachin, Tarun, alias Baba, Mayur and Prem Chand. Six illegal country-made pistols were recovered from them.

“All the arrested accused have previous criminal records. We have taken them on four days’ police remand after they were produced in a city court and are questioning them,” said a spokesperson of the Gurugram police.
