Sirsa Lok Sabha MP Kumari Selja has written to Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini, expressing concern over the incomplete construction of two vital roads at Ratia in Fatehabad district. These roads are crucial for connecting Haryana and Punjab and for facilitating smooth access to educational institutions in the region.

In her letter, Selja pointed out that the stretch linking the state highway to the women’s college via Fatehabad Road had been under construction for an extended period, with work on one segment stalled for over a month. This had disrupted travel for local residents, forcing them to take alternative routes, leading to delays and increased costs. Commuters, especially at night, faced significant challenges due to the poor condition of roads.

She also highlighted the plight of thousands of students, who commute daily on the stretch heading from Fatehabad Road to the women’s college. “This stretch remains incomplete, leaving it dusty and unsafe, with a heightened risk of accidents,” she said.

Kumari Selja urged CM Nayab Saini to take immediate action to resolve the issue and ensure that construction work on both roads was completed promptly. She emphasised on the need to alleviate the hardships faced by the public and create a safer and more efficient transportation network in the area.
