Congress will form state government, claim Selja, Amethi MP Kishori Lal

Sitting MLA and Congress candidate from Assandh Assembly segment, Shamsher Singh Gogi filed his nomination papers on Wednesday. Sirsa MP Kumari Selja, Amethi MP Kishori Lal joined him for the filing process. Both the MPs said the Congress would win the Assandh seat, and will form the government in Haryana.

“Our party’s candidate Gogi will win the Assandh seat and Congress will form the government in Haryana as people are fed-up with the BJP government,” said Selja, adding constituents were full of enthusiasm to bring Congress in power.

She also rejected the rumours of her resigning from the post of Congress general secretary, saying such rumours were being spread by the opposition parties.

Kishori Lal highlighted his relation with Gogi and said, “Gogi is my friend and I came here to file his nomination papers. I will campaign for him and Gogi will win the seat. The party will form the government.” He avoided giving reply on whether Gogi would be appointed a minister if Congress forms the stae government. He said it would be decided by the party high command.

Earlier, both the leaders and Gogi addressed the gathering and accused the BJP on various issues including, inflation, unemployment and corruption. Gogi said the BJP government had stalled the development of the state. “We will form the government in Haryana,” he said. Both the MPs appealed the residents to support the Congress candidate Gogi from Assandh.

Later, both the leaders and Gogi took out a massive roadshow with a large number of supporters and party workers.
