Arun Kumar, RSS’ 60-year-old joint general secretary, played a pivotal role in coordinating efforts between the ideological mentor and its political entity. His appointment in 2021 aimed to foster synergy between RSS and BJP, aligning their long-term and short-term goals. Kumar spearheaded the coordinated efforts in Haryana, helping the party identify challenges, suggest optimal candidates, and execute a booth-level action plan.

According to a senior RSS leader from Gurugram, “We held special coordination meetings post-Lok Sabha debacle and prepared a tailored plan. Each Sangh worker diligently worked to combat anti-incumbency, focusing on retaining our cadre voters. Despite low voter turnout in segments like Gurugram, we achieved our goal.”

RSS invested three months in transforming anti-incumbency into a pro-incumbency wave.

Sources indicate that RSS, previously feeling overlooked in Haryana, now anticipates greater prominence and a return to its former glory as BJP secures a hat-trick government.
