Farmers from various villages in Rohtak district staged a demonstration against the inordinate delay in the grant of crop-loss compensation by the state government and non-settlement of insurance claims for the crops covered under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana at the office of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare today.

The protest was staged under the aegis of the All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) and led by the sabha’s district president Preet Singh.
