Kurukshetra University’s NCC Cadet Rohan Gaur was honoured with the prestigious “Best NCC Cadet Boy 2023” award by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Som Nath Sachdeva.

The vice-chancellor praised Rohan’s achievement, noting this award would serve as an inspiration to all students and encourage greater youth participation in the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

A spokesperson for the university stated the award is presented annually to the best NCC cadet, based on the recommendation of the Director General of NCC, New Delhi. In recognition of Rohan’s exceptional performance, Prof Sachdeva and the Registrar, Dr Sanjeev Kumar presented him with a gold medal and a certificate.

NCC In-charge, Lieutenant Dr Ajay Jangra said two students from each affiliated institution are selected to participate in the examination, adding that the cadet who performs the best is awarded a gold medal and certificate. Dr Jangra said Rohan Gaur has represented the NCC unit in over 12 state-level NCC camps and a national camp.
