Hisar, January 11

A robbery accused died by suicide at the Central Jail here on Sunday evening.

The deceased has been identified as Charanjeet (25), a resident of Khunan village in Fatehabad district. The police had booked Charanjeet and Jashandeep for allegedly robbing a motorcyclist of Rs 2,000 on January 8. Both were arrested and produced in the local court, which sent them to judicial custody in the Hisar jail.

The police said they had launched an inquiry into the suicide case.
