Right-wing outfits and cow vigilantes have warned the state government to address the issue of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants in NCR districts, threatening to take matters into their own hands if no action is taken. These groups have been organising meetings and protest marches across Gurugram, Faridabad, Palwal and Nuh, citing recent violence against Hindus in Bangladesh as a trigger.

Govt must act

Our Hindus are being slaughtered in Bangladesh while we host and nurture illegal refugees here. The government must act. If they don’t, we will deal with it our way. — Bittu Bajrangi, cow vigilante

The groups have demanded the deportation of illegal immigrants and submitted memorandums to the administration and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. Leaders blame illegal immigrants for crime, civic issues and encroachments in Gurugram and Faridabad.

“Illegal immigrants from Bangladesh are our biggest problem. They are key reasons behind issues like illegal public Namaz, petty crimes and encroachment. We have submitted numerous representations to the authorities, but nothing has changed. We will not wait any longer and will drive these people away ourselves if needed. The authorities need to survey Aadhaar cards and our claims will be verified. We will not let the sacrifice of our brothers in Bangladesh go in vain,” said Kulbhushan Bhardwaj, a Bajrang Dal leader.

Sanatan Chetna Manch Gurugram recently held a symposium condemning the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh, demanding immediate action from the Central government.

Similarly, cow vigilante Bittu Bajrangi led a protest march in Faridabad, claiming that his group's survey identified over two lakh illegal immigrants in the city. “We found that these people lack valid Aadhaar cards or documentation. Our Hindus are being slaughtered in Bangladesh while we host and nurture illegal refugees here. The government must act. If they don’t, we will deal with it our way,” said Bittu Bajrangi in a video warning the authorities.

Bajrangi’s group has been conducting awareness campaigns at the village level in Palwal, Jhajjar, Nuh and Faridabad, while a similar effort is being led by Monu Manesar in Gurugram. Deputy Commissioner Ajay Kumar stated that there is no tension in the district, adding that peaceful demands are allowed and the government will address the concerns.
