Sonepat, August 30

MP Deepender Hooda today said that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would achieve nothing by changing the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister as the people of Haryana had made up their mind to change the government itself.

Deepender took out a march from the new grain market to the railway station in Ganaur Assembly constituency under the ‘Haryana Maange Hisaab’ campaign this evening.

Addressing a crowd during the march, Deepender said when the BJP came to know that its ground report in Haryana was not good, it changed the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, ministers and the state president.

He said the BJP even wrote a letter to the Election Commission to change the date of voting. But the result was that even the new Chief Minister could not make the BJP win the election from his booth, his village and Naraingarh constituency.

Deepender alleged that the state, which was number 1 in development, had today become number 1 in unemployment, inflation, crime, corruption and drug addiction. He said if one wanted to know the condition of Haryana in 10 years of BJP government rule, then it could be easily understood by looking at the roads of the state. “The condition of roads is bad in entire state,” he stated.

The MP said that as soon as the Congress government comes to power, the file of Sonepat Metro would be taken out of the cold storage and work would be started on the project. He said the Congress’ vision was to help the youth achieve a successful future in both education and sports.

“With this vision, Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar National Law University was built here, Chaudhary Chhotu Ram University was built, Bhagat Phool Singh Women’s University, Khanpur, NIFTEM, IIIT and many private universities were brought. Many institutions of the Government of India and the Haryana Government were set up here. Far from bringing any university, college, industry in 10 years, the BJP took away the rail coach factory approved by us from here to another state,” he said, comparing the achievements of the Congress and BJP governments.

“The youth were entangled in schemes like CET, temporary jobs, Kaushal Nigam, Agnipath and the common man was entangled in portals, IDs and made to stand in queues,” he said.

He said the youth, frustrated by unemployment, are either getting trapped in the vicious circle of crime and drugs or are selling everything and migrating through donkey routes. “The whole country will be watching the elections in Haryana. The people of Haryana have not forgotten the sacrifice of 750 farmers in the farmers’ movement, they will avenge each one of them,” he said.

MP Satpal Brahmachari, former Speaker Kuldeep Sharma, MLAs Jaibeer Balmiki, Balbir Balmiki, Induraj Narwal were among others present during the march.
