Rohtak, August 31

The unemployed youth from different parts of the state, including those who have not got joining letters due to the imposition of the model code of conduct, staged a protest demonstration in Rohtak on Saturday.

The unemployed youth said the Haryana Government had assured them of completing the recruitment process for various posts by the end of August, but it was not done.

“The state authorities have expressed their inability to complete the process and release the joining letters due to the imposition of the model code of conduct,” they lamented.

The unemployed youth, including the applicants for the posts of TGT, police personnel and Group D employees, also met local social activist Naveen Jaihind at Rohtak.

“Thousands of youth have been left in the lurch due to non-completion of the recruitment process,” said Jaihind, adding that they would move to the Election Commission in New Delhi to register their protest.
