Amid a long wait for civic polls in Gurugram and Manesar, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that the government is prepared to conduct the elections, with formalities nearing completion. While Gurugram has been awaiting municipal polls for two years, the Municipal Corporation of Manesar has yet to see its first elections since its establishment four years ago.

Saini said, “The schedule for finalising the voter list for civic elections in Haryana has been released.”

The voter list for Gurugram, a city grappling with multiple civic challenges, is set to be finalised by January 6. The district administration will publish the voter lists used in state and Lok Sabha elections on December 16, allowing claims and objections to be submitted until December 27.
