Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh has directed officials to streamline processes for starting industries and obtaining essential approvals to attract more businesses to the state and drive employment growth. “There is no better state than Haryana for setting up industries in the country,” he said, emphasising the need to develop industrial townships, especially in the state's less-developed blocks C and D.

The minister made these remarks while chairing a review meeting with senior officials from the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC) and the Industries and Commerce Department. During the session, Singh emphasised that industrial townships should be geared towards manufacturing entrepreneurs rather than passive investors. “The goal is to get industries into production quickly,” he noted, pointing out that some investors keep plots vacant, slowing development.

Singh instructed officials to regularly inspect ongoing development projects to ensure high-quality standards and urged them to visit new industrial townships to promptly address any emerging issues. Additionally, he called on HSIIDC to strengthen its engineering wing by establishing an in-house laboratory for quality control.

The minister expressed concerns about the quality of the KMP Expressway, insisting that the contractor resolve these issues during the defect liability period. He further stressed that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the ambitious Global City project should be prepared without delay and called for the timely completion of all pending projects.
