Rana assures steady DAP supply for farmers
To address the demand for Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) fertiliser during the rabi season, Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana assured farmers that the state government is fully prepared to meet their DAP requirements. "No acre of land will be left unsown due to shortage of DAP," he said, emphasising the state’s commitment to maintain steady supplies for wheat and other rabi crops.
Rana outlined the government’s plan to bring a total of 46,495 metric tonnes (MT) of DAP into Haryana between November 3 and November 11, with a schedule that includes daily arrivals to meet farmers' needs promptly. According to the minister, the state received 7,938 MT of DAP on November 3, followed by 12,007 MT on November 4, 5,350 MT on November 5, and 5,250 MT on November 6. Additional supplies are expected to continue each day through November 11.
"Continuous distribution is going on to deliver the fertiliser to farmers on time," Rana added. As of November 6, Haryana had a current stock of 28,670 MT of DAP, ensuring the timely availability of this essential fertiliser for rabi crops.
