Rampura House re-established as power centre in Ahirwal: Arti Rao’s victory paves way for Cabinet berth
The Rampura House in Rewari is celebrating a monumental victory, as Arti Rao, daughter of Ahir stalwart Mos Rao Inderjit Singh, has emerged victorious in Ateli with a margin of 3,085 votes. This win not only solidifies Arti’s position but also re-establishes Rampura House as the power centre of Ahirwal.
Arti, a debutante and third-generation politician from Rampura House, expressed her elation, saying, “I’m thrilled that people have chosen me as their voice. My victory celebrates the trust and opportunity Ahirwal has given our party again.” She edged out Attar Lal of BSP in a nail-biting contest.
BJP’s victory in Rewari is particularly notable, with Laxman Singh Yadav, backed by Rao, defeating Congress leader Chiranjiv Rao by a significant margin of 28,761 votes. This win underscores Inderjit’s supremacy and highlights Ahirwal’s importance to BJP.
Sandeep Yadav of Ahir Maha Sabha Haryana emphasised, “Inderjit has proven his mettle and Ahirwal’s significance to BJP. We’ve been ignored for 10 years; now we demand our due – a fair share in the cabinet and development projects.”
Arti’s victory has sparked speculation about a potential cabinet berth, given her impressive debut and her family’s influence in Ahirwal politics.
