Rewari: Protests over BJP ticket allocation continue

Protests against the candidates announced by the BJP continued on Friday. The protesting workers took to roads in Rewari, carrying placards and raising slogans against BJP candidate Lakshman Singh Yadav.

Slogans like “Kosli ne diya nakaar, Rewari kyu kare sweekaar?” were printed on the playcards carried by the protesters. It may be pertinent to mention that Yadav is the sitting MLA of the BJP from Kosli Assembly constituency while he has been fielded from Rewari this time.

Meanwhile, the aspirants of BJP ticket from Rewari — former MLA Randhir Singh Kapriwas, former Tourism Corporation chairman Dr Arvind Yadav and former district president Satish Yadav — held meetings to deal with the situation. Protests by the BJP workers were reported from other places as well.
