A group of people created a ruckus at the Pratap Nagar police station and blocked the Jagadhri-Paonta Sahib national highway, demanding strict action against two youths accused of sexually harassing minor girls.

Six schoolgirls filed a complaint, alleging the youths harassed them while they walked to and from school. The accused were caught by locals, beaten, and handed over to police.

SHO Tarsem Chand confirmed a case was registered under Sections 6 and 12 of the POCSO Act and the youths were arrested. “We will produce them in court on Wednesday,” he said.
