Pre-election tussle over CM’s post cost us Haryana: Capt Ajay Yadav
Recovering from a ‘surprising’ defeat, Congress leaders across the state have now started blame game for the Assembly polls debacle.
Party’s OBC cell chairman and former minister Captain Ajay Singh Yadav has blamed the pre-election war for CM’s post as key reason.
“Tussle in Haryana Congress for becoming CM before getting the people’s mandate was a big blunder,” Yadav said in a post on X.

Yadav, who is known to be vocal about party’s ticket choices, took to X to list out the reasons behind the defeat, especially in Ahirwal.
His son Chiranjiv Rao, who was an MLA in the last term, lost from home turf Rewari with a margin of around 28,000 votes.
Yadav blamed the ‘toothlessness’ of the OBC cell, lack of region’s representation in party commands like CWC, AICC general secretaries and even HPCC as one of the reason.
“The party should introspect for its failure in southern Haryana especially Gurugram, Rewari, Mahendragarh and Faridabad where it won just 1 seat. Ahirwal has no representation in CWC, CEC, AICC General Secretaries and even in HPCC. Chairman AICC OBC is an eyewash and toothless,” he said.
Yadav also trained guns on fellow Congressman and Ferozpur Jhirka MLA Mamman Khan for ruining ‘party prospects’ with his alleged ‘communal speeches’.
"Mamman Khan MLA Ferozepur Zirka should apologize for his offensive and communal statement made during election campaign for a particular community," Yadav said in a post on X.
