After his defeat in the Lok Sabha elections from Hisar, former Independent MLA and Power Minister Ranjit Singh Chautala has ramped up efforts in Rania. On Saturday, he held an open darbar to address problems faced by locals and directed officials to resolve their issues promptly.
He emphasised the importance of accountability and timely completion of development projects, warning that negligence would not be tolerated and action would be taken against non-performing officials.
During the event, Chautala reviewed the progress of development projects in Rania and instructed officials to expedite the resolution of people’s problems. He said any contractor causing delay due to negligence would be blacklisted.
Officials of the Public Health Department said Rs 61-crore canal-based water project in Rania would commence in August, and Rs 14-crore project for rainwater drainage was progressing rapidly. The Panchayati Raj Department said over Rs 55 crore was being spent on various projects in the last four to five years and 32 e-libraries were being established.
Chautala said all issues raised during the open darbar would be addressed by the departments concerned, with a follow-up report on their resolution to be reviewed in 10 days. He also committed to personally touring the constituency to listen to people’s concerns.
