Polling peaceful in Jhajjar, Rewari & Mahendragarh

As per the Election Commission, Jhajjar recorded 65.8 per cent polling, Mahendragarh 69.8 per cent and Rewari 67.8 per cent voters turnout.
Earlier, the polling picked up pace after 9 am when the people in groups reached booths to exercise their right to franchise. In Rewari, Union Minister and Ahir stalwart Rao Inderjit Singh cast his vote at a polling booth in native Rampura village. Former Minister and six-time former MLA Capt Ajay Singh Yadav and supporters of the opponent party engaged in a verbal duel over some issue at a polling booth in Lisana village.
