Police seize Rs 33.5L cash from 9 persons in Sirsa
In a special checking drive ahead of the upcoming elections, the Sirsa police seized Rs 33.5 lakh in cash from nine persons across various locations. The operation was conducted in the presence of duty magistrates under the supervision of Sirsa Superintendent of Police Vikrant Bhushan.
The Ellenabad police confiscated Rs 9 lakh from Harish, a resident of Mithanpura, Rs 5.9 lakh from Vijay, a resident of Ellenabad, Rs 2.61 lakh from Ganpati of Rajasthan. The city police recovered Rs 1 lakh from Ravinath of Rajasthan, near Sirsa Civil Hospital. An amount of Rs 10.68 lakh was seized from Devi Lal of Banwala, Rs 75,000 from Ajay Pal of Harni Khurd and Rs 90,000 from Dinesh Kumar of Sirsa.
The Ding police seized Rs 76,000 from Prakash of Ding and Rs 1.9 lakh from Mohan of Khachwana, Rajasthan.
