Newly appointed Superintendent of Police (SP) Ganga Ram Punia directed police officials not to refuse any complaints and also ensure registration and issuing of receipts for every complaint registered. He also asked them to take action against false complaints. He was holding a crime review meeting of the police officials at the Mini-Secretariat and directed the police officials to increase vigil across inter-state and inter-district borders. He also instructed all officials to conduct inspections in their areas to ensure law and order.

“Every complaint should be registered and the complainant should be given a receipt for their complaint, otherwise action will be taken against the negligent officials,” said the SP.

He also directed the officials to conduct fair and impartial investigations, without any pressure. He warned that any form of corruption among officials would lead to strict disciplinary action. “Officers who delay work without valid reasons will be closely monitored and evaluated to ensure that timely task completion reduces unnecessary stress within the force,” said the SP.

Punia instructed the police officers to expedite investigations in cases involving crimes against women and incidents of violence, ensuring swift arrests of offenders. He also stressed a zero-tolerance policy on illegal liquor production and sale, directing officers to take strict action against individuals involved in such activities.
