Plantation, cleanliness drive in Rohtak by ex-CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s wife
Rohtak, July 22
Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’’s wife Asha Hooda carried out a plantation and cleanliness campaign in Rohtak on Sunday. Under the drive, she not only planted saplings but also cleaned parks. Many women joined her in the drive.
“As a responsible citizen, planting saplings is the duty of every person. Many locals have come forward to fulfil this duty on Sunday. We got complaints about a lack of cleanliness in the city, especially in parks, as the government and administration were not taking any steps to ensure cleanliness. Therefore, I decided to run a cleanliness campaign in the city,” said Asha.
Responding to questions, Asha said monsoon had arrived due to which people had to face problems of waterlogging and sewage blockage in the city even in mild rain.
“Despite repeated requests, no action is being taken by the state government towards this burning issue of the city, due to which the common man has to suffer,” she added.
