Assam Chief Minister (CM) Himanta Biswa Sarma today said that just as mother and son dreamed of forming government at the Centre, similarly in Haryana, father and son are dreaming of forming a government, but the people of Haryana are not going to allow this.

CM Sarma was addressing a gathering in Ganaur in support of BJP candidate Devender Kaushik from here.

Biswa said development in Haryana, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, had reached its peak and the picture of Haryana had totally changed.

The CM appealed to the people to vote for Devender Kaushik on October 5 and said Ganaur would develop more under the double-engine government.

Taking a dig at the Congress, Sarma said farmers were insulted by giving them cheques for Rs 2. The Congress had not taken any decision in support of farmers so far.

Attacking the Congress, he said the government was not for a single community and it had a share of all communities. But the Congress wanted to form the government for its stakeholders, relatives and for a special class in the state.

The people of Haryana should not let this happen, appealing to them to elect the BJP government which works with the ideology “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas”.

He said all Opposition leaders had gathered to defeat Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha elections by telling lies to the people that the Constitution would be changed after the formation of the BJP government, Agniveer scheme and many others, but the people rejected their lies and they opted for the BJP continuously for the third time in the country.

Biswa alleged that Rahul Gandhi wanted to divide the country by saying in Kashmir that Article 370 would be brought back but we Indians would never allow that. Biswa said, “Former CM Hooda has promised to give Rs 2,000 to women. The Congress had also promised to give Rs 1,500 to women in Himachal Pradesh, but not even a single penny has been given so far. However, what the BJP promises, it fulfills.”

Biswa said the BJP was working with the guarantee to work and CM Nayab Singh Saini had done great work in a short span of time.
