Patient dies by suicide in Rewari
A 41-year-old man reportedly died by suicide by hanging himself from the fan at his room in a private hospital on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Nihal Singh of Budhi Bawal village in the neighbouring Alwar district in Rajasthan.
Nihal Singh had been undergoing treatment at the hospital since November 29 after he suffered injuries in a mishap. The incident came to the fore when someone saw the body in the room and informed the hospital authorities, said the sources.
The police rushed to the spot and sent the body to the Civil Hospital for a post-mortem.
The police said the exact cause of death would be ascertained after they received the postmortem report. Meanwhile, an investigation was under way, he said.
No case was registered till the filing of the news report.
