The police lodged another case against Nempal of Kabri village, who has already been arrested for extorting Rs 45 lakh from a person for “making compromise” in a gang rape case, for duping Rs one crore in lieu of ending an old criminal case.

Notably, the CIA-1 team arrested Nempal for taking Rs 45 lakh for making a compromise in a gang rape and abduction of a minor girl case registered in the Old Industrial Police station, five days ago.

Now, another person Rajender of Chhajpur Khurd in his complaint to the SP office said that his son Ankush, brother Joginder and three other family members Jagdish, Tejpal and Deepak were serving a sentence in a criminal case. All five were lodged in the Panipat jail and Nempal was also lodged in the jail. He (Nempal) was released on bail in October 2023 and he lured them that he has very good relations at the top and he could help them free from the cases from the High Court on first or second hearing only and demanded Rs 20 lakh per person, the complainant said.

After that Nempal along with his son Arun alias Kala came to his village and took Rs 60 lakh from him on November 21, 2023, he said.

He took Rs 40 lakh from the relatives of Jagdish and Devi Singh on December 2 and December 4, 2023 but no work was done, the complainant maintained. After that the accused – Ankush, Jagdish, Tejpal and Deepak - got bail from the High Court. After release from jail, they met Nempal and asked him to refund their money, but he didn’t give the amount back, he said.

SP Lokender Singh sent this complaint for investigation to the Sanoli police. After investigation, the police have registered a case under various sections and begun a probe into the matter, the SP maintained.
