The JCD Memorial College of Pharmacy, Sirsa, organised an orientation programme for first-year students of B Pharmacy, D Pharmacy and M Pharmacy. The event aimed at introducing students to the college environment, academic facilities and future opportunities.

The chief guest, Professor Dr Jai Prakash, director-general of JCD Vidyapeeth, addressed the gathering. He described pharmacy as a “timeless noble profession” that played a vital role in society by supporting health and well-being. He highlighted the college’s advanced laboratories, experienced faculty and laid emphasis on practical learning, calling it one of the top institutions in North India.

Jai Prakash also spoke about JCD Vidyapeeth’s founder, Chaudhary Devi Lal, whose vision was to make quality education accessible to students of backward areas such as Sirsa. He encouraged students to excel in their field and contribute to society.

During the event, Associate Professor Komal Khurana explained college rules through a presentation. The programme concluded with a token of appreciation for Jai Prakash and refreshments for all attendees.

Faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students participated in the event.
