Congress candidate from Sirsa, Gokul Setia, intensified his election campaign by reaching out to residents across various wards of the city. During his public interactions, Setia was warmly welcomed with garlands at many places and the people blessed him for a win.

Addressing several public meetings, Setia expressed his confidence that the people of Sirsa had decided not to fall for empty promises anymore. He criticised the ruling party for making grand promises of development while looting the public’s hard-earned money. Setia highlighted alleged corruption, claiming that despite millions of rupees being spent on development projects, the reality was visible to everyone. He pointed out that the well-known scandal in the municipal council, questioning how those responsible far it still talked about development.

Setia also mentioned that all political parties had teamed up against him in an attempt to defeat him, but the public was wise to their tactics. He accused his opponents of launching a false attack on him, claiming they spread rumours that he sent men to attack the son of a BJP leader while he was busy at a public rally. He condemned these acts as desperate measures to cover up their failures, but said they were not going to succeed.

Setia confidently predicted that the people of Sirsa would deliver a strong message through their votes, striking a blow to the deceitful actions of his rivals. He appealed to the public to treat him like a son and bless him on October 5, so that he could continue fighting for their rights and making their voices heard in the Assembly.
