Nurse’s body found in park at Sonepat

The body of a 35-year-old woman was found at the Railway Park near Sarang road on Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Nisha (in pic) of Chintpurni Colony on the Kami road and she was working as a nurse at a Mohalla Clinic in Shahdara, Delhi.
The Civil Lines police received information about the body around 8 am today. As the area comes under the jurisdiction of the GRP, they reached the spot and began a probe into the matter. Prima facie, it is being suspected that someone had strangulated the woman with her shawl, said police sources. She used to go to Delhi daily by train. Her mobile phone and purse were found lying near her body.
The police sent the body to the mortuary at the General Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Inspector Mahabir Singh, SHO, GRP, said although the actual cause of death would be cleared only after the post-mortem examination, but it is being suspected that the woman died after she got strangulated. Family members have been informed and a murder case would be registered, the SHO said. A probe is underway.
