Nuh cops issued over 1.17 lakh traffic challans in 11 months

The Nuh police issued a total of 1,17,389 challans and collected a fine of Rs 4 crore from traffic violators in the past 11 months this year. The police also impounded 1,801 vehicles during this period.

As per the data, 56,966 challans were issued for changing lane, 43,325 for riding without helmet, 9,540 for wrong parking and 119 for underage driving. In addition, 130 challans were issued for illegal mining and 1,506 for overloaded vehicles.

Nuh SP Vijay Pratap Singh issued warning to those who modify Bullet motorcycle silencers to produce an explosive sound. They would be challaned to check the practice. Action would also be taken against mechanics who modify the silencers.
