NSS national integration camp ends at Rewari varsity, Manipur bags honours

A seven-day National Integration Camp concluded at Indira Gandhi University (IGU), Rewari, with colourful cultural activities. Prof JP Yadav, Vice-Chancellor, IGU, said over 200 NSS volunteers from 16 states, including Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya, Assam, Tripura, Andhra Pradesh, Manipur, Telangana, Kerala, West Bengal and Delhi, besides Haryana participated in the camp.

“Many cultural activities, lectures and sports activities were organised during the camp. On the basis of the performances, Manipur bagged the first position, Arunachal Pradesh came second and Odisha and Kerala jointly secured the third spot. Each volunteer and programme officer was facilitated with certificates and medals,” he added.

Yadav said BJP MLAs — Dr Krishan Kumar (Bawal) and Anil Yadav (Kosli) — state NSS officer Dinesh Kumar, Dr SS Yadav and Sarwan Ram were present as special guests at the closing ceremony.
